Edgeglued laminated panels by GIOTAS are products complying the highest
specifications.
Combining modern scientific knowledge and a long experience in wood
processing GIOTAS offers finished products of excellent quality.
The greatest guaranty for the total quality of the products is the
perfect Know-how of the GIOTAS company which is already in the fourth generation
of its existence in the wood processing industry.
Generally, it is only possible to accurately season small pieces of
timber. Kiln drying larger pieces, especially hardwoods more than 40 mm
thick, is always difficult and costly. By working with small sections,
as we do with GIOTAS GLULAM, accurate seasoning is possible. Strength reducing
and unsightly faults so often found in solid timber can also be rejected.
GIOTAS only use timber which has been kiln dried to controlled tolerances
and with a moisture content between 10% - 12%.
